Mistrovství Moravy a Slezska mladších žáků
V sobotu 10. února si dali v Ostravě dostaveníčko ti nejlepší mladší žáci z celé Moravy, aby se zde utkaly o tituly halových mistrů Moravy a Slezska pro rok 2024. Pro tuto věkovou kategori se jedná o nejvyšší možnou soutěž a tomu odpovídala i úroveň předváděných výkonů. A my můžeme hrdě říci, že ke skvělé podívané přispělo i 7 našich atletů.
Dvojnásobným mistrem celé Moravy se stal Matěj Imrich, když nejprve v novém osobním rekordu 8.02s zvítězil ve finále běhu na 60m. O hodinu později pak zcela ovládl i závod na 300m. Druhým naším medailistou se stal František Mrkvan, když po smolném čtvrtém místě z šedesátky dokázal proletět 150m trať ve třetím nejrychlejším čase dne. A to znamenalo zaslouženou bronzovou medaili. Velmi blízko medaili se ocitla i naše štafeta na 4x200m, ale poslední nepovedená předávka našemu týmu přisoudila konečnou pátou pozici.
Celkově byly tyto závody nádherné vyvrcholení celé halové sezony mladších žáků. Respekt patří úplně všem, kteří se na tento závod dokázali kvalifikovat a přijeli závodit.
